Dr. Salvatore J. Minicozzi

Dr. Salvatore J. Minicozzi is the Director of Health Services and Player Welfare for Rugby ATL. He is also a member of the founding ownership and investment group.
Originally from New Jersey, but now a long-time Atlanta resident, Dr. Sal holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University and serves as the Owner and Clinic Director of Intelligent Chiropractic. His specialties include chiropractic extremity management and active isolated stretching. With a heavy sports involvement background, Dr. Sal joins the Rugby ATL team with years of expertise and passion for sports health.
A philanthropist at heart, Dr. Sal has engaged in a long list of community involvement opportunities that spans across several states. He served as a Ground Zero Doctor after 9/11, and continued to be involved on the Board of Directors for the Post 9/11 Foundation. Dr. Sal is also the Founder of Doctors Against Hunger. This charitable organization has raised over $1,200,000 of food for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Additionally, he helped raise over $65,000.00 for the Traumatic Brain Center at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Professionally, he has designed exercise programs adopted by the World Health Organization. He has been published numerous times in peer review research journals; and has lectured internationally and written numerous articles on the topic of health and sports injuries. Recently, he served on the Advisory Board for the Georgia Commissioner of Insurance’s office.
With years of chiropractic expertise and community camaraderie, Dr. Sal is equipped and ready to get Rugby ATL players performing their best while always ensuring the health and well-being of the team is top notch.
